PIONEER PL30K TURNTABLE
BRAND NEW PIONEER FULLY AUTOMATIC TURNTABLE:  PL30K  $299.99
Pioneer started out in 1938. Their first products  were speakers. Pioneer was key in bringing high quality stereo components from a very limited niche business of classical music lovers to the  masses including all pop musiclovers.
The PIONEER  PL30K turntable is a high quality, belt drive, automatic which comes pre-mounted with a phono cartridge.
The NEW PIONEER. Turntables never stopped selling. Audio perfectionists continued to love the detailed analog sound, they insisted records have more life than CDs. And now that "playing vinyl" has become a trend. It's in to have vinyl. People never got rid of their records. They have music on record they never replaced on CD. Vinyl records and turntables are very popular. Sales of vinyl records were  up 50% over last year.

And now it is easy to transfer the record to CD or a computer hard drive or iPod. Ironically, it is now very popular to use computers as the main source of music.
Automatic. There are some low priced, very low quality "record players" that are fully automatic, but there are almost no other auto, or even semi automatic turntables, available on the market. Most other turntables today are totally manual. Push the button located on the front panel, you don't need to lift the dust cover, the the PL-30, lifts the tonearm over, gently lowers it on the records and plays. When the record is finished, it lifts the tonearm, returns it to rest, and shuts off. rpms.
Belt Drive. The phono cartridge picks up vibrations in the record groove. If the motor creates vibrations, it picks those up and those low frequency sounds are called rumble. The Best drive isolates the motor from the platter so rumble is reduced.
Servo Control. The PL-30 uses a servo control system to maintain accurate speed. A sensor in the motor detects and monitors the speed and adjust the motor to accurate play 33 rp or 45 rpms.
Heavy Duty Construction. Turntables must not only rotate at an exact speed, but resist vibrations caused by the music itself, playing in the room. The thick cabinet wall offers strength and rigidity, and high density. It is finished in black. Special anti-resonant feet prevent vibrations from the air and the table its sitting on from reaching the stylus. This helps prevent acoustic feedback.
Tonearm. A carefully designed straight tonearm designed for correct geometry to minimize tracking error. A high quality moving magnet phono cartridge is factory installed. An It is easy to upgrade the phono cartridge thanks to the detachable headshell. Many turntables do not have detachable headshells. Adjustable anti-skating force is provided. An arm lift gently lifts and lowers the arm to a different song selection on your album. The tonearm is counter balanced design, with low friction.
Built-in Preamp. Most home theater receivers no longer include a phono input. The tape, CD, tuner, or TV inputs are looking for about a volt input level. The phono cartridge has about three thousandths of a volt. This small voltage must be amplified in the preamp. Additionally, to compensate for the way vinyl records are cut, the bass must be boosted and the high frequencies reduced. This is called RIAA equalization. The P-30 includes a phono preamp with RIAA so it can be hooked directly into a low price mini system, aux or TV inputs on receivers that do not have phono inputs. For higher quality amps and receivers with phono input, you can switch the built-in preamp off.
