MARANTZ CINEMA 70S $1300.  The S stands for slimline.  This is a very cool, quite reasonably priced home theater AV Receiver. Almost every multi-channel home theater receiver is just a plain rectangular box. Marantz has style and class. Rounded corners. Slim design. Unique port hole cosmetic with readout. Balanced round knobs on either side. ... and a FIVE YEAR WARRANTY.
     It is a 7.2 receiver with SEVEN built-in amps and two subwoofer outputs. Each of the 7 amps is rated 50 watts per channel. But, this is not some exaggerated number. It is rated over the FULL AUDIO RANGE, 20 to 20kHz into 8 ohm loads. It can do a 5.2 AV system in your den and drive with its own amps a 2nd zone on your patio or in your kitchen. You can watch a movie in 5.2 in your den and listen to something else in the 2nd zone. Control it all from an App on your phone.
     If 50 watts seems a little low, the quality the power supply and filter capacitors allows dynamic loud playback.  BUT... if you want more power, if you upgrade to big full size floor standing speakers, this receiver has 7.2 preamp outputs that allow you to hook up a more powerful, separate power amp later on. Like Marantz's own M7055 with five 140 watt amps built-in, or the M7025, two channel stereo 140 watt amp, letting you use the center, rear and surround back 50 watt amps for those speakers that require less power.
     It has a built-in phono preamp, which many home theater receivers do not have. It has HDMI inputs that was 8K and 4K video signals.
