GoldenEar BRX Bookshelf Reference. $1599 pair. Take the grille off almost any speaker and you see two ROUND speakers. The big one is called the woofer and reproduces bass. The small one is called the tweeter and reproduces high frequencies. GoldenEar speakers don't have round tweeters. What you see in the picture is called a Heil Air Motion Transformer. And it makes high frequencies sound for more realistically than any round tweeter. Click Here for more info. This is the Reference Bookshelf BRX. Only 12 in tall, with the same high quality woofer found in the GoldenEar $12,500 Triton Reference plus the Heil tweeter. Real, hand rubbed piano black finish. Easy to drive. Often hooked up by Stereophile magazine when comparing amps. They deliver excellent bass without a sub. Music does not seem to come out of the box. Wheather you building a two channel music system or a great home theater, these deserve a serious listen.

SVS Prime Bookshelf. $625 pair. Here is a really excellent affordable speaker. SVS is from Ohio and originally known for their subwoofers. Click here. They have expanded into some really good speakers, compact, bookshelf and floor standing. These have an aluminum dome tweeter and a 6 inch woofer. They come black ash and optional piano gloss black.
ELAC Debut Reference. $799 pair. Elac is almost 100 years old. They started in audio making turntables. Then switched to speakers. The Debut Reference was designed by Andrew Jones, whose designed some of the most successful speakers over the decades. We have sold lots of these.
KEF Q350. 799 pair. This may look like a one way speaker, but it uses the Uni-Q driver. The tweeter is mounted coaxially within the woofer to improve the stereo image... because highs and lows all come from the same place.
